About Find My Man

An independent data project that answers one question with official statistics: how many men actually fit your list?

Updated 16 October 2026

What this is

Find My Man, also known as the Delulu meter, is a free calculator. You set your requirements for a partner: relationship status, orientation, a clean record, age, ethnicity, body type, height, hair, looks and income. The meter shows how many men aged 18 to 55 meet all of them, in 5 countries and 101 states, provinces and regions: Australia, the United States, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

The name is a joke. The numbers are not. Dating advice runs on anecdotes and memes like the 6-6-6 rule, while the facts that answer those questions (how tall men are, what they earn, how many are single) sit in census tables, health surveys and tax statistics that few people read. We put them in one place and let you test your own list against them.

Where the numbers come from

The model is built from the official statistics of each country: in Australia, the Australian Bureau of Statistics and the Australian Taxation Office; in the United States, the U.S. Census Bureau, the CDC and the IRS; in Canada, Statistics Canada and Public Safety Canada; in New Zealand, Stats NZ, the Ministry of Health, Inland Revenue and the Ministry of Justice; in the United Kingdom, the Office for National Statistics, NHS England, HMRC and the Ministry of Justice. Height and body measurements come from health surveys that measure people rather than asking them. Where no official figure exists, as with lifetime criminal records, we use published research and say so.

The methodology page lists every source, country by country, sets out the assumptions the model makes, and names its weakest inputs.

How we write the articles

Our articles take a question people actually ask, such as whether all the good men are taken or how rare a 6-foot man is, and answer it with the meter's own numbers for all five countries. Every table on the site comes from the same model you can run yourself. When an article draws on outside research, it links to the study or survey.

  • We show our working: the settings behind each number are written in the article.
  • We say where the data is thin, and we don't claim more than the model can support.
  • On contested topics we present the evidence on more than one side.
  • When the underlying data is updated, we re-run the numbers.

What this isn't

Find My Man is not a dating service. There are no profiles, no matching and no real people behind the counts: every number is a statistical estimate, not a head count. We are not affiliated with any dating app. The site is for entertainment and general information, not relationship, financial or legal advice.

Your answers on the meter stay in your browser. If you share a result, an anonymous copy of the selections is saved, with no name, IP address or cookie attached. The privacy policy has the details, including the advertising and analytics that keep the site free.

Corrections

If you think a number is wrong, a source is out of date or an article misreads the data, email hello@delulumeter.ai with the page and the figure. We check every report, and when we correct something we update the page and its date.
