Where the single millionaires are

Even in the best country we cover, only about 1 single man in 295 earns a million a year. Here is where they cluster.

Updated 8 October 2026 · Find My Man data

Here, "single millionaire" means a man who is single or divorced, straight, aged 25 to 55, with a personal income of at least one million a year in local currency. That's income, not wealth: a man with a $5 million house and a $90,000 salary doesn't count.

The United States has by far the most, about 76,500, and the best odds at 1 in 295. The other four countries sit between about 1 in 700 and 1 in 1,300. A million Australian, Canadian or New Zealand dollars is also worth less than a million US dollars, which flatters their numbers slightly.

Top incomes are the hardest part of any income statistic. Tax data stops at broad top brackets and misses money held in companies and trusts, so the very top end is an estimate and probably on the low side.

Estimates come from the same model as the meter: official population, census, health-survey and tax data for each country, combined age by age. Filters are treated as independent within each age, so treat the results as estimates, not a head count. The full method and sources are under "How it's calculated" on the meter.
